Calendar LO

I finally did one calendar LO for June, I have three more of these to complete for the swap. Not sure why I chose weaving, but I guess I wanted it to look like a tablecloth. June is a great time for picnics and lemonade right? I used pearls for the center of the flowers because I believe that is June's birthstone. My dad's birthday is in June and of course he never wore pearls! I hand cut the June using the font Morning Limerick. I think I found it on dafont.com. I love downloading fonts to add to my collection! So here are some pix of the LO. Let me know what you think. Sorry for such blurry pix.

Other news, Tim got a nice gift card for Home Depot for 5 years with the company. We'll be using to add some insulation in the basement and hopefully a handrail for the front steps so it'll be easier for his mom to walk up the steps. When we stopped today we got some phone jacks and a hands free headset for me, so I can chat while I craft!! LOL It was on clearance and less than $5 so it's worth it. He also had an appt with the chemotherapy oncologist and will be getting one more chemo treatment then a 2 wk break before he starts up again. Then in early Jan. he will get another PET scan and he'll be into his 6th round of chemo by then. The doctor didn't have the results of the KRAS testing. It will only let the doc know if a certain chemotherapy will work on the tumor. One of the side effects of this drug is a horrible rash, so he doesn't want to use it if it won't help.

Oh I stopped by the Paper Trunk blog and saw that they received my cards. If you click the words Paper Trunk blog you can see my name! Just a side note for friends and relatives that don't blog. Any of the words in white on my blog are a link if you put your cursor (mouse) over the words you'll see the link go to red, click it and it will take you to the blog or website.

Well that's it for today. Wish me luck on finishing my calendar LO's. I have a recipe swap that's due by Friday too. I got so involved with the calendar that I forgot! So now that's what I'll be doing 'til then--the calendar isn't due until next month.
