Party Animal

This week over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge the challenge is to create something with an animal. I received my fabulous images from Jerusha and as soon as I saw this image I knew what I wanted to do, I'm so thankful that she included two of each image, so I could create the 3-D card. I had to use the computer for the sentiment because I didn't cut it out correctly and the sentiment is slightly changed from the original...not on purpose I just had anytime in my mind not any day! LOL. I dug through my scrap box and found some red and thought maybe red and blue, but then I remembered that I had some scrap die cuts of kraft paper and voila I decided to go with red and kraft. It's so nice when you can use your scraps...they didn't work for the last creation but you can get 'em to work with something else if you save 'em!! Okay okay enough blah blah blahhing!

I also made this card for KLSNS June Sketch challenge on Paper Craft Planet. Yes, I joined PCP this weekend I'd been resisting for awhile, but finally gave in. Carolyn can be quite persistent :P! I had started something completely different only to come back to my first idea because I didn't like how the first card was turning out. I don't use pink too often, so this was fun! This image was another image I received from Jerusha, we swapped images a few weeks ago. I love getting new images and trying them out. Once I get a job maybe I can purchase some of the ones I've gotten through swaps.

Tomorrow is a busy day we will be at Karmanos Cancer Center all day. We have to be there by 7 am so we'll need to leave here by 5 am and they told us we will likely be there until 8:30pm. So thats quite a long day, with the drive that'll be 16 hrs or so. Tim's sister is driving Mitch to his ride and we should be able to pick him up on the way home. Well time for me to get going to make sure we have enough goodies to eat packed and I have to go get Mitch, oh and I want to pack scrappin goodies to keep me busy! Well best get my arse in gear!

Have a great day!!

Challenge #43 HM & Friends

This week's challenge at House Mouse and Friends is a sketch. I was lucky enough to be able to choose from a couple of images I colored while in Adrian. I happened to run to Hobby Lobby yesterday for one item and saw that paper was 1/2 off and the dotted paper looked like it would match the one image that I colored. So I picked it up. This is such a great sketch I am sure I'll use it for a few more cards. I wasn't sure what to put for a sentiment so I left it blank and will add when I use it.

Thanks for taking time to stop by! I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!!!

RWB Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

Today's SSC challenge is RWB and a star too! Well I was able to put together a card today and even though it didn't turn out as I thought it's... growing on me! LOL Some cards are works of art and some are just okay. This one is just okay. I finally colored one of the beautiful Sarah Kay images that my dear friend Priscilla sent me. I am intimidated by all the little details on these stamps. I would've liked to make the bows red and white, but just couldn't see trying to get all those tiny dots white! The same with the picnic cloth it would've been so cute red and white or blue and white. Oh well it's done and it's not horrible I guess. As you can tell from the past few cards I've done I really like the opaque white for wet embossing. I thought I'd go with a different star this time around. I also used star beads...that's what the small silver stars are. I also had some of this red & white fiber from a swap on sb.com probably 2 yrs ago by now.

I thought I'd also post a couple of pix of my flowers. The garden spot isn't weeded enough yet, so I'll only post the ones in pots. The potty chair has red impatiens and a spiky accent plant. And of course I had to have some purple petunias for my mailbox. Once the flower garden is cleaned up I'll take some pix of that and oh I really need to take some pix of my small vegetable garden. The cilantro is nearly to my waist and hey I'm 5'11" so thats one tall cilantro plant! The tomatoes are nearly as tall. The peppers may become overshadowed by the tomatoes hey this is my first veggie garden. give me a break. LOL. The cucumbers aren't that tall but do have blossoms and some of the blossoms even have a tiny cuke on them! So here are the potted flowers.

Oh and Mitch has been lucky enough
to find a ride for rehearsals. So we don't get to Adrian as much but I thought I'd post a pic of The Spotted Cow. The ice cream place with free WIFI. They have some wonderful flurries there. The hand dipped ice cream is yummy too. Tomorrow Mitch has a ride there but needs me to come and get him. Its funny how you're used to running and then when you don't you think you can finally get some stuff done, but it's nice to just sit and relax for once too! At least I have time to cook a little better than just sandwiches or hot dogs. :D.

Hope you have a great week and I hope to have another post or two this week. Thanks for dropping by!
