Stamping DT Call

Today I finally sent a stamp DT entry in. I wanted to include my LO of my Grandma Alice because the background is stamped with a background stamp by SU Linen is the name I believe. Then I stamped the SU Cabbage Rose flowers, stems and leaves to make a pretty vintage background. Here is a couple of photos of the layout you can also see it in my gallery at scrapbook.com.

I included photos of the family tree journal and one of the HM challenge cards I created. So wish me luck!!

Sunday night Mitch and I went to the theater and saw Seven Pounds. Oh My Goodness what an excellent movie! Definitely a movie that makes you think and part of it hit so close to home. There are so many movies out now that I'd like to see, unfortunately I'll probably have to wait until they come out on VOD. I'd like to see Benjamin Button, but at nearly 3 hours long I'm not sure I'd be able to stay awake in a dark theater.

Scrappin In Toledo is the Yahoo group I belong to. We are doing a calendar swap and here is my September LO. I used a technique I saw on the Hero Arts blog, but now that I want to find the name of the technique I can't. You stamp with white ink first, the slightly off you stamp color over top. It's such a great look I think. Here it is let me know what you think.

Hi Carm. Love the vintage look. You did a great job.

I would have loved to see that movie too. Sorry I did not get the message until late.
