House Mouse Challenge #26

Wow I think this is the first time I got a House Mouse Challenge completed this early. If you click the link you can see this week's challenge is to create a card or item for Mother's Day. Well I finally got my House Mouse order in and one stamp is back order 3-5 weeks. But one of the ones that arrived is the one I used for my card. It reminds me of my mom so it's perfect for a Mother's Day card. My mom knit all the time! Sweaters, mittens, socks, slippers, scarves and for her grandsons sweater jackets. The boys sure loved wearing their sweater jackets proudly. Once I can scan again I should post Mitchell's sweater jacket. He was about 3 or 4 when he got his and it was white, navy and red with bits of yellow. I said Mom a white sweater for a boy? She put a zipper in them and lined it with cotton flannel for a little extra warmth. If anyone knows Wisconsin weather having that little extra warmth helped. Hehehe I've knitted a couple of sweaters, some scarves and slippers but never became as proficient as my mom.

Here is the card:
Stamp: HM Will Knit for Friends Cardstock: Paper Studio Textured CS stack - dark & DCWV Rose cs Printed Paper: Basic Grey Sultry Studio G Happy Mother's Day stamp Offray ribbon Ink: Memories & SU Kiwi Kiss Prismacolor pencils & OMS
EK Success 1" round punch & Fiskars Threading Water Border punch
Fiskars Rain Dots
Last week I got the last Bind-It-All v2.0 in the store. I was able to use my 40% off coupon so it was really worth getting. I've had a couple of Card Organizers I needed to bind, but didn't want to use binder rings. Besides, now my dear youngest son is using the binder rings as shoelaces. Yep SHOELACES! Guess I should take a photo of that too :0). I really like the Making memories Passport line for these card organizers. I really wish I had more of this paper. I bought it on clearance at Michael's.

That's my post for today. The boys are both out of the house at the moment woohoo!

**OOPS** In my excitement of the boys being gone I forgot to mention that my friend Priscilla is starting a new challenge blog - Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. She is in the process of looking for DT members. So if you'd like to try out please go to her blog: Skraptacular Designs. There you can find more information about applying for the DT.

Love your card with the floral background, so nice. I just bought that image, but haven't used it yet. Isn't it just like a Mom to be knitting for her kids, what's one more!
