Manly House Mouse?
This week at House Mouse Monday Challenge the challenge is to make something masculine. I thought ok, I can get the masculine looking paper together and even come up with an idea of what to make, but what HM stamp do I chose to make it manly enough? So that's what I did this time I found the paper, made the notebook and then found the stamp - Amanda Writes that would make it all work. I decided to not color the image so it would have more of a vintage/distressed look. I inked around the edge of the image and the notebook to give it a distressed look. I found the tutorial for these notebooks at chic N scratch. These sure are fun to make! The best part, I made the notebook all from scrap paper! It's funny I had to ask Tim what a guy would use a notebook for and he said phone numbers. I said golf scores? Mileage? He said yeah. So I decided to go with a notebook.
Here is the first one I made. I used BG Periphery for this one, the dimensional stickers are from K& Company and are the perfect colors for this. It was a little difficult for me to find the perfect ribbon, if it was the right color then of course I didn't have enough of it! Now I need to get me some more of these rectangle coasters.
That's it for today. I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!

Hi Carmen!
Love the little book! The stamp "Happy Easter" on my card is an old stamp from D.O.T.S.
Have a great day!

These are just great! The colors are stunning, sublime, and a little vintage as you wanted. And, why wouldn't a guy use a notebook? Especially one hand made so beautifully. As for me, I would probably want to put it up on a shelf and just admire it. Martha Kay
You know how very much I love both of these books!!!! I love the scrolled border punch on the mousie book, and I really love the vintage feel to it. I also love how well the flowers and the paper coordinate with one another in the other book!!! I still cannot believe they didn't come together!!! You are really making me want the Bind-It-All!!!! What an enabler;o)
Love ya!!!
