I started school last Thursday and already I'm beginning to be overwhelmed. Wouldn't it be nice if we just had one or two things to deal with instead of a million and one? I might as well forget having a nice relaxing weekend. My computer concepts class has homework that is due tomorrow. Then I have an Algebra take home quiz, algebra homework and a test next Friday, for public speaking we are to do a informational speech. I would like to do scrapbooking or card making, but would the guys be interested and could I keep it to 3-4 mins? UGH!!
Tim is still in the rehab facility and will probably be there for another 3 weeks. The past couple of days he's nearly passed out in his PT session. They figure they should take him off of one of the BP meds they put him on. I think 3 different BP meds might be a bit much, especially once you start moving around. I'm not an expert on it, but it seems walking and exercise in general helps lower your BP. He told me last night that it could take a week for the med to be out of his system, but hopefully it won't cause anymore spells.
Mitch works today, Noah's enjoying his long weekend at a friend's house. So I guess I should be able to get lots done. I'm sure I'll be headed to the math lab. My instructor is there today and he said they have tissues on hand. He said I know math usually bring tears. Oh so right at least for me. Mitch thinks it's silly to cry over math, but I said when you're not getting it, it's easy to do.
As you can see with the badge on the right I've joined Facebook. I held out as long as I could, but finally joined just after Christmas. I'm glad I did because I've been chatting with some cousins and friends that I haven't talked to in awhile. It's so cool finding people you haven't been in contact with in ages.
Well that's it for now! Just wanted to let you know why I've been neglecting my poor blog and my creative side for awhile. I really need to get a routine so I can get some creative juices flowing. If it weren't for being able to create once in awhile, I think I would have been in the loony bin long time ago! For me it is that therapeutic. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and think of me with my nose in a book or working algebra problems.
Hugs!

Good luck with all of your school work. The rewards when you are done will be worth all of your efforts now! I think that if you wnat to write your speech on scrapbooking/card making you should do it! Who cares if the guys in your class like it or get it? Are you going to care when they talk for 3 or 4 minutes about golf? Or fishing? Ew!
Carmen, follow your heart on the speech... It is something you love and maybe the "guys" need to hear what you have to say. I'm with you on the neglected blog, just a different cause as you know. If you need moral support for the algebra, i'm an e-mail away.
:-)
Congrats on taking the classes again... I feel your pain... I just finished a stats class and am moving on with the management classes... bachelors finished in June '10!! Almost there!
You're creative side is just "hibernating" ... it will come out rarin' to go when you have time and you'll be amazed with all you can accomplish!
You are truly ONE amazing woman, Carmen :) You are the vision of someone who is pushing forward thru perseverance and triumphing through it all! The hard work, the pain, sweat and tears will all be worth it and rewarded tenfold when it is all said and done :) I'm so so very proud of you! I"m sorry to hear that Tim is having a hard time - my prayers and constant thoughts are with you both and I know that He's right there with you as well, pulling you along. Keep pushing onward, my friend - may you have a chance to rest soon and your cards, whenever they may be, will be worth waiting for - no doubt! hugs!!!!!!! x0x0x0x0
