We Interrupt this station...err homework
to do some creating! Woohoo I finally created a couple of note cards. I found this wonderful freebie digi image from Fred, She Said on the OWH Stars and Stamps blog or was it Sandy Allnock's blog? Anyhoo, Saturday a couple of friends and I went to Archiver's in Novi, MI. I haven't been to an Archiver's in about 4 yrs. There wasn't one in Milwaukee the closest one I knew of was in Gurnee, IL. So when Tim came to help me move we stopped in the Gurnee Archivers to browse. My friends & I went this weekend because they were demonstrating the various die cutting machines. Unfortunately, they didn't demo the Wishblade, which is the machine I just bought about a month ago, since I was able to get it at a great price. We also shopped at a HUGE JoAnn's, I thought the ones in Milwaukee, WI and Taylor, MI were big, this one was 2 floors! Then we stopped at Michael's too! I got something at each place, so lucky to have friends who share their coupons! So I just had to create something.
I love Hero Arts stamps and found the cling dots background stamp. I've seen some cute cards made with this wonderful stamp, so into my my basket it went. I found some pretty papers and a little bling too. If I didn't have to watch my pennies I sure would have loaded my basket. So here are a couple of the note cards.
I colored up the digi stamp image in red, pink, lavender and yellow with my prismacolor pencils. I used the HA Cling Dots backgrounder with white embossing powder on kraft paper. Yes, I love kraft paper!
Well back to regular programming...a rough draft of a paper is due by class tonight, a new speech by Thursday and an Algebra test on Friday. Hopefully during a break I can stop by and see your wonderful creations. Thanks for stopping by oh and please comment on my blog candy for a chance to win some goodies!

Sounds like you had quite the shopping excursion! How fun. I love these cards you made. Such great cards for Spring. I'm so glad to see the dots background. I've wondered what the stamp would do and now I know. I like it a lot! Best, Curt

Me again. :-D Thanks for your comment on my blog. Yes, I live near Milwaukee. I'm originally from CT, tho, so I can understand your "missing home". I really like WI. I wish we lived closer to some of those great stores you were talking about. :-)
