Scrappin at LSS

Mitch and I scrapped with Dawn and her sister Leann again last Saturday. It was the first weekend of deer hunting so there were quite a few hunter's widows there.  Mitch came across his photos from Disney World, Epcot and Animal Kingdom from his vacation with his Dad in 2006.  I had got him some paper and embellishments to use before I moved to Toledo.  Well he got quite a bit done last Saturday - four layouts!  I really love that he created his own flag embellishments for the Epcot layout.  So I thought I would share them with you.  I got lazy and didn't take the last two out of the page protectors.

Mitch's first layout of the day

Mitch's 3rd LO of the day
Mitch's 2nd LO of the day - didn't he do a great job with the flags?

Last one - Pangani Forest
I think it's cool that he scraps with me. Dawn is really his friend from work, so it does make sense.  He was 11yrs old when I first started scrappin' and did a few pages back then too. Hard to believe he'll be 22 yrs old on Sunday Dec. 4th! We have such a great time and laugh so much.  We also found out that we're related to Dawn and Leann by marriage.  Kinda funny to find out after Mitch and Dawn working together for the past year.

I talked my cousin Ida into crocheting some flowers and butterflies for me. Something that would take me awhile to learn and I figure she create 10 to my one! I told her they're used on cards, scrap book layouts and altered items.  She wanted to see how I used them. I had a couple of altered comp books to finish up and all of a sudden it struck me to use the crocheted flowers. One I used at the bottom of the ribbon bookmark and the other just as decoration at the ribbon closure.  Here they are
