A Great Month!

Note: If you're looking for creations, sorry this post won't have any of my recent creations.  But if you enjoy hearing about my friends and family please read on. Smiles.

March 2012 has been very good for me.  I celebrated my birthday early in the month and a few days later was offered a job.  I now work in medical billing. I really like it. I prayed for a job that not only would I be helpful to people but that would also be positive for me.  The atmosphere at work is positive and that means a lot to me.  For 2012 I decided that I would limit the amount of negativity in my life.  I know you cannot eliminate it all, but that I do have a choice in how much I allow in.

Friday after work I got a call from my mom. She said that my brother was having a cookout and I was invited.  I hemmed and hawed about it, since money is still tight. I've only been at the job for 2 weeks.  I finally talked myself into going and pray that everything else will work out.  I found this recipe on Pinterest (ya, I'm a Pinterest addict and I admit it). Crock Pot Potatoes so I thought I'd make it to take to Sam's.  I got up early on Saturday morning to get it started. Saturday morning we headed out to The Falls Stampin' and Scrappin' show with our scrappin' buddies.  Very small show compared to what I've been to, but then I was always in larger cities.  I made two of the free make and take cards. The other ones cost, so I passed up on those. I thought to myself I wanted to see my nephews more than I wanted to make those cards.

Noah had to work and Mitch decided to hang with a friend, so I went to Hixton by myself.  It was so nice to see that my sister and her hubby had made it.  By the time I hit Hixton, I was following my parents in.  Everyone brought something yummy to eat.  We had Spanish rice, pasta and sausage, crockpot potatoes and of course brats and hamburgers.  Yum yum.  Yes, if you want to really impress me, grill out some awesome food!  Of course, I had to take pix and get the 4 generations of Olson men.   So here are some photos from yesterday.
