Art Abandonment

I've been following Suze Weinberg for quite a few years now. If you're a scrapbooker or mixed media artist you probably know of her.  I really admire quite a bit about her, she does make some awesome jewelry as well as a few other mixed media items.  She often does Art Abandonment usually as part of her tip after a meal. Recently she was in Russia for trip and did an Art Abandonment there too. I saw a comment on her post stating that they joined the Art Abandonment group on Facebook.  So I looked it up and then asked to join the group.  Once I did and read some of the posts, I realized how global of a movement Art abandonment is.  Also, it's great to read some of the posts when someone responds to finding the art.  Often times, it comes at a time when the finder needs a "lift" of their spirit.

Today, I did my first art abandonment. After I dropped Mitch off at work, I left an item in Eau Claire and another item in Altoona.  It was a little harder to leave the one anonymously in Altoona, as I was on a "busy" street.  Yeah even small Altoona has a busy street. It was kind of exhilarating for me.  It also got me to thinking of what else I could do and abandon.

Here is what I abandoned today:

Close up of them at home

Left on a bench in Altoona

Left near a picnic table in Eau Claire

I decorated some Crystal Light containers for use as storage.  I even put some plastic forks in one container, so they could use them for picnics if they so choose.  I left an altered notebook in Altoona. Hopefully these items brighten someone's day.  :)

Have a great week!  Thanks for stopping by.
