Cards and Thoughts & Prayers

I thought I'd post a few cards I've been working on. I did finally figure out how to make a watermark so I will start adding it to my cards. Tim wants me to do a copyright notice and I know I should have done that awhile ago. So that will be next. The first card is one for the Yahoo Group I belong to Scrappin in Toledo (SIT for short). Each month we have a sketch we need to follow for a swap. I wanted to do something a little different and masculine and this is what I came up with. I used some corrugated cardboard from the new printer box. I also pulled out my TAC stamps. I liked their masculine stamps and ordered these a year ago or so.

Actually these following cards were made for SIT's Monday Meet. We have a virtual crop and are given an hourly challenge. I made both of these cards and realized with both of them I did not meet all the requirements. Oh well. I like them and can use them. Actually the friend quote is an Inkadinkado stamp so I could submit it to their project gallery and get a free stamp.

Oh I also want to tell you about CropChocolate, it's a site where you can get great scrapbooking deals on Making Memories items. Also Peachy Cheap is another site that you can get fabulous scrapbook deals! Please check out these sites daily...it's best to check them early in the morning as they often sell out quick.

I have a favor to ask. Tim's mom is in the hospital again. She had hip replacement surgery on Feb. 11 and this is the third time she's been back to the hospital. The word is she may stay for two weeks this time so that the hospital can do the wound care. The Dr. blames the visiting nurse and I think the Dr. is at fault also. Sunday I was talking to Tim about putting the word out for Get Well cards. I saw her on Friday and she looked so down. I mean she's 84 and has been fairly active until having this surgery. She used a cane and always refused to use those electric carts at the grocery store. So I think this would be an awesome way to brighten her day. He said she would be tickled to receive some cards. Well yesterday Tim's youngest sister called and said mom was going back to the hospital today. OMGoodness! I know papercrafters are such generous, kind and giving people. If you are interested in sending a Get Well card, please email me at creativesoul_61 at yahoo dot com and I will get you the address. Could you please keep her in your thoughts and prayers too, her name is Dorothy Hatch. Thanks so much in advance.

Love the cards, Carm! As always, you did a fabulous job! Although they are all nice...if I had to pick a favorite I'd have to choose the FRIENDS card! I LOVE the color combo and the quote is one of my favorites!

Glad you got to play with us during Monday MEET!

Hugs,
Priscilla
