Cleveland Clinic

Yesterday we drove to Cleveland so Tim could find out about drug trials for the cancer lesions on his lungs. It's about a 2 hour drive but we made it to the outskirts in a little over an hour and 1/2. We got to the east side of Cleveland (where the hospital is) at about 9:10 am. We got to the area where we were supposed to be around 9:20 and Tim checked in and was called about 9:30 am. There was much waiting as opposed to seeing someone. The 1st nurse did the vitals, etc and then 15 mins or more later the PA checked in and said she was reading over Tim's tome of information/records, etc and she'd be back with us in a bit. Well another 15 mins or so she comes in and gets all the information again. Asking Tim about family history etc. finally after about 1/2 hour or so she leaves and says Dr. Pelley will be in soon. We wait another 15 mins or more he arrives with an exchange student/dr from Brazil. Dr. Pelley goes over some of the information the PA got and then explained the two drug trials that are going on right now. One would require more travel to Cleveland and with Tim working it would be a bit difficult. The other is more viable as it only requires two full days in Cleveland. Dr. Pelley also recommended that Tim go to Karmanos at Wayne State in the Detroit area. He said he has a colleague there that trained at Cleveland Clinic and would set up the appt for Tim with this Dr. so now we await word on when that appt will be. Dr. Pelley left the room stating that a nurse named Patsy would be in to give Tim the information on the one drug trial. I waited with him for about 10 mins then decided to go out into the lobby where Mitch was to check on how to get to the paper place. That was about 11:50. I couldn't get online with the laptop, something Mitch complained about as I got out there. I looked at the time on the laptop and noticed it was 12:22 and Tim still hadn't come out of the exam room. I said 32 mins and he still isn't out. I went back and looked for him in the room only to notice that the nurse that took him back there was changing out the room. So Tim must've taken a different hallway to the lobby. I went into a nearby room that offered internet and found out that Hollo's paper store was closed due to their father passing and the funeral being yesterday. So we stopped at a Burger King for lunch and then drove home. We arrived about 3:10pm. I hit the bed and planned on sleeping for 2 hours at least. Tim comes in and says he told Mitch to wake us in an hour, I said something to the effect of no way. I didn't get up until 5:25pm. I really didnt' want to, but we had chicken breasts that were about done in the crockpot. So I got up to make supper. I had only slept maybe three hours the night before as Tim was talking in his sleep way more than usual. Guess it was from anxiety about the appt. So today I don't know if I'll get any creating done, but I plan on getting some more sleep as I have a headache I need to get rid of.
