This week at House Mouse & Friends the challenge is a gate fold card. I had a bit of a time with this one. I knew there was something I did differently with gatefold cards so after following the directions I realized that I like to make them 5 1/2 inches so they fit an A2 envelope. The HM stamp I used required a bit larger card too. Even so I had to flip the card, so I'm not sure it'll be considered a gatefold card. I used some left over paper to make the card, so I'm not even sure what brand it is. The image is from my long lost sister Carolyn, she sent me stamped images. I had hoped to use the one Tim bought me last week, but it's size prevented it. I covered a BG chipboard flower with the other side of the printed paper and use it for a closure.

I've been trying to make some cards up to fill my mom's stock of cards for Mother's Day. I made her a bunch of cards last year and a box to put them in. I noticed that with my birthday card and Noah's that she must've ran out since they were store bought. Last year I made all kinds, this year I'm concentrating on mostly birthday cards.
That's it for today, hopefully I'll have another post showing you the cards I made for my mom. Take care and have a wonderful Wednesday!

How cute! That's one of my favorite images. I think I'm going to have to buy it someday. Love your colors and how you made the card horizontal instead of vertical. Your cards are always adorable!

Gorgeous Carmen - what a wonderful present for your Mom, a supply of beautiful cards. It certainly is gatefold - It doesn't matter which way it opens. Some of the HM stamps are huge aren't they?
Fabulous colours and papers and I love that adorable image.
Thanks for joining us at HM&F's.
hugs Heather xx

I really like the gatefold card, and I think the idea of making a box of cards for someone to use, is fantastic!
