House Mouse Challenge #48

Wow another post, it's hard to believe I've had time to create. I just created this card tonight, luckily the image was colored previously, so all I had to do was put the card together as per the sketch. And boy did I have a time with that! I really wanted an edge to one of the pieces of paper and it turned out it needed to be the bottom layer. The image is a bit wide so it took me a few times to get it to come out to the width I needed. But finally it all came together and I'm able to post it now. I just switched and put the sentiment above the image. It's in clear embossing so it may be difficult to see. It just says SMILE. I think these cuties make me smile all the time, that's why they keep showing up in my shopping cart! Actually this wonderful image was sent to me by my friend Carolyn. All the paper is Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby, except for the yellow which is Bazzill. I used Fiskar's Raindrops to give it a little embellishment and yellow dotted ribbon. I wanted to keep it simple since there were so many layers.

Also, I wanted to post the Fall Cards For Heroes that I created. I have a few more of the Christmas ones to decorate and then I'll send them off to CFH. Why don't you head on over to www.cardsforheroes.org and see what cards are needed and make a few? Using the one sheet wonder method they do go pretty quickly. Also if you'd like to get an idea of cards that are made you can stop over at Sandy Allnock's blog It's a Colorful World. You can see what she recently created just using stickers. I think I'll have around 36 cards made...maybe a few more. You can also follow them on Twitter @cardsforheroes.

Hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday! Can you believe it's almost August! Back to school soon and even sooner for me, August 17th!! Ugh tomorrow I'm off to the college to make sure I get everything together.

I haven't been near my scrapbooking supplies in what feels like months. It may actually be months for all I know! I just need to get in there and do something...

Your cards are great, and I'm sure that the soldiers who receive them will put them to good use.
