Inside Out

This week's challenge over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge blog is to decorate the inside as well as the outside of a card or other creation. My dear sweet friend Carolyn sent me some Elisabeth Bell stamped images, so I used this one of Emma. I think she is so cute in her cropped pants with her kitty in the basket. I thought pink and orange would be fun summer colors. I then pulled out my K & Company Que Sera and thought perfect! So I colored her and then used nestabilities to frame her. Then added some details like rub on stitching, stickles, rhinestone flowers, a ribbon and a charm.

Tim and I have been stopping at our friend Charlotte's on the way home from Karmanos and she encouraged me to bring my scrappin paper to use her punches and die cuts. So I was able to add the punched butterflies to the inside. I've been looking for butterfly punches or dies without any luck. It was so nice that we've punched a few. I say we because Tim and I sat on the couch and chatted with Charlotte while punching away! Last week Thursday we went up to visit because we hadn't been able to stop in awhile with Tim having pneumonia and Charlotte is still healing. I also wanted to go to the huge JoAnn's in Taylor...Charlotte just lives a few mins down the road. Well it's such a great JoAnn's! Much like the one in Milwaukee, WI. that was just remodeled into a super JoAnn's a year or two before I left Milwaukee. Gosh there were so many stamps and they had all the new Fiskar's punches. I got an Effervescence punch and some Memories ink and a few journals that were on clearance. Everything was on sale so we couldn't use our coupons. Tim bought me a sizzix flower punch that was on clearance. Yesterday when we drove by that JoAnn's, there was a sign out by the road that said Hobby Lobby coming soon! So I had Tim call Charlotte and tell her. Tim's niece works for the one here in town and said there are going to be 5 added to the Metro Detroit area. Guess we found where one of them will be.

Not blogging in awhile makes for an awfully long post. Here is a LO I've done of Michael Jackson. I got the sketch from Scrappy Sunday group on PCP. And I entered this LO in the 3x3 contest on scrapbook.com. For that contest you have to have three different patterned papers, 3 buttons and three photos. I wasn't sure I'd find buttons that would work but I remembered a bag buttons I received from my SIT Secret Sister. I found some buttons that would work and Tim cut off the shank. I sanded the area down a little with my emery board and then glue dotted them down.

Well that's it for today. I do have some cards to show you for Cards for Heroes, but will post tomorrow or later this week. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and I hope you have a wonderful week!

The card is beautiful. I love, love, love the colors, and you colored this sweetie with complete and total perfection!!!! I also adore the Michael Jackson layout!!! He represents such a HUGE part of my chidhood, and I had a crush on him before all the cosmetic surgery. I wish he could have seen himself through the eyes of his adoring fans! You have really made me and my eyes smile with these fabulous creations!!! These beauties were definitely worth waiting for:o)
