A BIG Thanks!

This thank you is a bit overdue. I won the Grand prize on the KLSNS Blog hop and received my goodies in the mail on Friday last week. Here is a picture of all the wonderful loot!

I just wanted to Thank Kelly and her DT for the blog hop and all the wonderful goodies I received. Kelly has an online store, so stop on over and see what she has. If you like Magnolia stamps I know they're up to 35% off selected Magnolias right now.

I also wanted to show you a card I made with the Flower Dragon stamp I won from KLSNS July Challenge over on Paper Craft Planet. Also the printed paper is Basic Grey's Lime Rickey that Kelly snuck in with the stamp. I should also thank Carolyn for talking me into joining PCP and the KLSNS Girls Group on PCP. So why don't you join too? It's fun to challenge yourself and always fun to win!

I just want to show you one more thing that I've made. Well not really made, but put together for a storage solution. The solution was for storing nestabilities (nesties to all of us papercrafters). I had been storing them in a 4x6 photo album. It was a good choice until I bought the scalloped sqaures that didn't fit. I was blog hopping and came across a blog where the blogger had made her own storage using her bind it all. She made a book with magnetic tape. I thought it was a pretty good idea. Then I came across another blog where the blogger used a small binder from Provocraft I think. I could be totally wrong, I thought I might have bookmarked the blog - but I didn't see it. Anyway she used magnetic sheets and attached them to chipboard to store her nesties. So I thought a day planner binder would work. I looked around the stores (since it's back to school time) and just thought spending $20+ was too much for this unemployed papercrafter. Then it occured to me to see if anyone on Freecycle had one. I posted a wanted and lucked out with this wonderful zippered binder! I actually got two the other one is smaller and I just may find a use for that one as well. I dug out some chipboard and cut it to 6"x8" I used one of the plastic pouches that came with the planner for the binder holes and punched those with my Crop a Dile. I found magnetic sheets at Michael's and of course used my coupon. I cut the magnetic sheets in 1/2 (8 1/2x 11) and trimmed off 1/2 inch and then glued them to the chipboard. I used Scotch 3M Tacky glue. I wanted the exact name and size of the nesties to be included and used the 1/2 piece of magnet sheet, glued it to the name. It didn't exactly stay in place so I taped down the name to the magnetic sheet. Here are photos:

All for under $4!!! Gotta love it. Well time for me to get busy. I started back to school this week and have algebra, eng comp, language of medicine and medical sociology. Two of my classes are online and two are on campus. Tonight is my first class on campus and it's language of medicine. The pork loin roast is in the crockpot making BBQ Pulled Pork, found the recipe here. She left the blog up - this is what she did last year. She does have a book coming out in October I think. Check it out!

Have a great Wednesday!
