Is it Halloween Yet?
I've been trying to create cards for Halloween. For whatever reason, I've been struggling. It's not like I haven't seen a ton of great inspiration out there. Through blogs, SCS and scrapbook.com I've seen a lot and maybe that's part of the problem. I guess I want my creations to be a little different. Well yesterday while on scrapbook.com I went to the forums and saw a post for card of the week. Michelle who goes by the name of melissadam on sb.com posts a new card challenge every week with a video she has found. I definitely want to do a few more of these purse cards in different printed papers of course. I watched the video and was inspired, but of course I took a day to think about it and here's what I came up with.

I'm entering the above card for these challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown - Challenge #69 Halloween
Charisma Cardz Challenges - Challenge #40 Black and Orange
Just Add Ink - JAI #88 Just Add...A Diecut
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge - Fall or Halloween
Of course I couldn't just post one Halloween card, here's one I came up with a couple of weeks ago. I wanted a card that looked less cutesy and more vintage. Also, it's the first time I inked up an embossing folder before embossing. So what do you think did I do it?

Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to come visit! I hope you have a fabulous fall weekend.

Hey there! How the heck are ya? Love your take on the video card. I think it is so clever to put a trick or treat bag on the front of a card. What a great idea. The second one certainly achieved the vintage look. Love the spiders in the top corner. Great cards! Best, Curt
