Welcome! Welcome! Fall has arrived. The leaves are beginning to change to beautiful colors on the trees, the air is crisp and cool and we seem to have a little more time to craft. I know you're surprised that I've put up another post and two months haven't gone by yet. ;) I have participated in some blog hops and challenges -- well one challenge HMFMC specifically. I was lucky enough to be a winner over on Sue Drees' blog. Thank you Sue! Even though I haven't posted much I have been creating cards, journals, gifts. I was hoping to do a craft show or two but things haven't worked out for them just yet. So hopefully I can find one or two before the holidays.Once again I am unemployed and it does get a bit depressing at times. I do my best to stay positive. One thing I'm very thankful for is Brave Girls Club. I get the Daily Truth emails every day and they really help me to stay positive. I also go to Melody Ross' blog and read her posts which are inspiring as well. From time to time I comment. Yesterday I got an email from the tech guy at Brave Girls, an anonymous kind soul and Brave Girl gifted me the online course Soul Restoration 2. I'm so very thankful!! I truly believe with all the negativity surrounding me I truly need restoring. I'm looking forward to participating the next 6 weeks. So whoever you are please know that words cannot express how thankful I am! Well enough about me, onto the cards. My Fall inspired cards:
The Happy Harvest one above was inspired by some cards posted on Pinterest.
This Thanksgiving card was inspired by a Thank you card I saw on scrapbook.com. Very clean and simple. I love to emboss so that's how I changed it up to be more "me".
This is pretty much the same as above, only I cut out a tree from some Imaginisce paper I just got recently. I'm thinking this needs something more, what do you think?Entering these cards in the challenges listed below:Well I am guessing I didn't post my blog soon enough to enter the challenges that I wanted to :(. So no challenges entered for this post.
Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to visit. Hope to see you back soon!
Happy Birthday House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge Blog! I started blogging 3.5 years ago. And in August or Sept of that year I found HMFMC and was thrilled! I had these wonderful House Mouse stamps but really didn't have any clue on what to do with them. Boy have I learned a lot since then. By challenging myself to learn new techniques and enter the challenges whenever I could. Also, along with that I met and made some wonderful friends. We may have not met in person, but that does not mean I do not consider you a friend. So enough of my yakking, here is my card for the hop.
I have not figured out where to put a sentiment. So please feel free to give me some advice. I just love this stamp of the mousie floating in the lemonade. So I wanted to create a bright cheerful card to showcase it. The card base is soooo old. I bought them long before I was a "real" cardmaker. The orange cardstock and the Pebbles confetti DSP are scraps.
If you haven't done the blog hop yet, hop on over there. There are many wonderful goodies being given away.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful first weekend of Fall!!!
