Tim's CT scan on Friday showed only 7% growth of the lesions on his lungs. So he was okayed to stay on this drug trial. We were told if it was 20% or more than they would've stopped this drug trial and looked for another. So we've been in Detroit all day today. We're looking to leave in about 1/2 hr. We got here late, hence the longer day. Tomorrow he comes for blood work and EKG later in the aft. so we'll be able to drop Mitch off for work, he'll still get there a couple hours early but there is nearby places to shop like Bed, Bath and Beyond, Office Max, Best Buy and of course enough places to grab a bite to eat. Tomorrow I have a test in Language of Medicine so it'll be interesting on how the timing goes.
Oh also wanted to mention that I won at Stampavie's DT blog. This is the card I won with. It's been a few weeks since I won, but the pkg finally came in the mail last week. I was so excited to receive it!! I got three stampavie stamps, some jewel tone brads, a beautiful box filled with Hershey's kisses, a fabulous card created by Michelle Oatman and some 7 gypsies stickers. If I missed something I'll have to add it later.
My dear friend Carolyn is starting her own digi stamp business with her friend Thomas. If you love digi stamps, please stop back on Saturday Oct. 10 to see what she's got for us. If you've never used digi stamps before stop on by and see if you'd like to give it a try. She will be starting a group on PCP, so you'll find challenges and other fun stuff there. Please come and support her new venture!

Red, Yellow & Orange
That is the challenge on the Stampavie blog to use Red, Yellow and Orange. Of course, you must also use at least one Stampavie image. I recently acquired Jump Into My Pouch from my win on KL Stampin & Scrappin Blog Hop. I colored in this cute image and wondered what I would use it for. While blog hopping I saw the Stampavie challenge and set out to create a card with the required colors. I also thought a sketch would make my life easier. It seems with me returning to school I have less time to paper craft...now why would that be??? So I happened across a blog I had never been to before and found out that they have fortnight sketch challenges. The blog is aptly named Sketch and Stash Challenge blog. My new stash is the wonderful Jump Into My Pouch stamp and Tiny Bubbles CB embossing folder. I used DCWV Citrus stack that I picked up earlier this summer.

That's it for now. I have a new link on my sidebar called Cards for Kate. Please check it out and see if you can participate. What a wonderful way to brighten a cute little girl and her family's day!

First Stampavie Challenge
I was encouraged by my friend Carolyn to give the Stampavie challenge a try. She says I know you like doing altered type items. She told me there was a bag tutorial by Lauren Meader and as you know if it's a Lauren Meader tutorial you know it'll be good. So I hopped on over to Stampavie from Carolyn's blog and printed off the tut. It didn't take long and I figured out what paper I wanted to use. I bought this Cloud Nine paper a year or so ago and haven't had the heart to use it. I mean photos on top of it would cover up it's beauty. I thought it would be perfect for a bag like this though, you can see it's pretty print/sparkle all around the bag. Luckily my friend Priscilla gifted me with some Sarah Kay stamped images awhile back. So I picked out one that I thought might not be too intimidating. I really wish I had a prisma color pencil that was the color of the aqua on the paper. I think flowers out of that color would have matched so much better. I did add some extra sparkle by covering them with Doodlebug Sugar.

Monday we were going to stop by a friend's on the way back from going to Tim's Karmanos visit. So I thought I'd whip up another bag and give it to her. She is planning on doing a card and bookmark workshop for cancer patients, friends and family this month. So I included a few more Cancer Cannot stamped images for her in the bag. She like Tim is a cancer survivor. I had this image of the bunny with the watermelon already colored and went through some of my paper and came up with this perfect one. It's BoBunny's Ella Precocious line from a year or so ago. Love the summery print! The Hero Arts Art Flowers and Petaloo flowers were the perfect addition. I forgot to include a ribbon. Charlotte liked it a lot and kept exclaiming at different times during our visit this is so cute!

So that's it for now. I hope your Thursday is fabulous. I have an appt with an advisor and later Tim goes to Karmanos for a CT scan, so I guess I'd better get busy.
