I now realize that the Chef theme is on clearance most places so it is no longer in style. Oh well I'm usually a day late and a dollar short. You wouldn't believe that I studied clothing design my first time around in college now would you? It was nice to sew again. I bought my current sewing machine about a yr and half ago after getting my tax return. I'm still having a hard time getting adjusted to it. I had a Sears Kenmore for 27 yrs. My parents bought it for me my first year of college, so I could sew in my dorm room rather than go to the sewing lab. I loved that machine, however, it wasn't doing what I wanted it to anymore. I couldn't find parts and doing buttonholes automatically sounded so much easier. Maybe in a few years I'll feel the same about this machine, it's got a little bit of a learning curve.
Here is a pic of the front of our new place! I love it we live on a nice tree lined street and the neighbors so far seem friendly. We only moved two blocks, but the difference is noticeable.

Like the welcome mat? Noah and I were looking at them at Target after we finally got accepted for the house. He said let's get it and my unemployed self said we didn't need one that expensive. It wasn't really expensive, it's just when you're not working you don't need things right now. But he could see that I really liked it and said I'm getting it. He's taking after Tim in that respect. I do like the scrapbooky looking flourishes and the color is one of my faves.

Just about done here I have a swap that I did last week so that'll be the last thing I show you here. P.S.Carolyn, I did two out of the three you teased me about ;). Here are some mug cards I did. I had a hard time with these at least how I wanted them to come out, this is actually the fourth time I started them and actually finished them. First they were going to be out of white speckled paper, but then I wanted to do a snowman how would I get that to show up? Then I tried green bazzill but it was textured so it didn't look right, then I decided on some cardstock that was plain and stamped a snowman on the front. Well I never found the flock I wanted to use on the snowman. So I bought white felt, well during moving I just didn't feel it anymore. So I dug into my pp stash and found this dbl sided pp and used it. I found the glitter chipboard at Big Lots for $1 and added doodlebug sugar coating to the edge of the chipboard with a sakura glue pen. Found a cute little quote on www.scrapbook.com and added that to the front. I think adding it to the front of the teabag might have been better, but hindsight is always 20/20.

the picture of your house is so nice! just a great shot with the light streaming in! the little mugs are cute too...i like how they turned out!
Okay...first of all...I LOVE THE CURTAINS!!!! I took sewing in high school in a home ec class, but never stuck with it. Needless to say, I don't do sewing. Wish I did because I love the way it looks on paper projects. As far as creating anything grander than that...it would be one hot mess!
As for the chefs being "out of style", as long as you like it...who cares what anyone else thinks. Personally, I prefer those types of things...I get it at a better price; and by the time I have it, no one else does. Then again, I have never been one to follow the crowd.
Your monogrammed tea cards are mahvelous, dahling! Someone will be happy to receive those babies!
Congrats on the Bo Bunny! Now, you know I'll be looking for THAT project too;O} Hee! Hee!
I think I have taken up enough of your comment space, but I LOVE your outlook on things and your awesome creations!!!
As Arnold would say, "I'll be back."
