Stamptacular Sunday Challenge # #
This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge it is Black, White and One. Which means you are to use black, white and one color. I saw the wonderful creations of the design team and became inspired. This card was pretty easy, just had to re-do the colors; layering them I mean. I wanted to use a color that not too many think of when they think black, white and one other color. So I chose kelly green. I really like embossing with white EP and will probably be doing that more often. Well here is the card, I hope you like.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #2
This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge the theme is This is for the Birds. You must include a bird or birds and of course stamping. Well about 2 wks ago it was my parents' anniversary. I have this great inkadinkado stamp with two birds on it and all of a sudden this quote popped into my head. So I looked it up in the quotes section of scrapbook.com to get it right. I typed it out and then spent time trying to get it die cut and embossed with my nestabilities. Well I decided to remake the card last night for the challenge with a couple of changes. I embossed the birds with clear embossing powder and I did the quote in a larger labels 1 die. I also got a better embossing by taping down the sides of the die cut piece and the die to the A plate. I lifted the card from Karen Rose on Splitcoaststampers.com I think it's so great that SCS now has a gallery for Occasions. It's now much easier to come up with a card for an occasion. I have harder time with Anniversary, Wedding, and Sympathy cards for some reason. But now with the Occasions gallery I can get some ideas woo hoo! And now the card:
That's it for today. I've been posting so much this week that I haven't gotten many comments :(. But I know that everyone is getting busier and busier with Spring and warmer weather upon us. Many thanks to those who stop by to see what's new and leave a comment!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #1
New Beginnings is the challenge this week @ Stamptacular Sunday Challenge blog. I love this Happy Hoppers image and thought it would make a cute baby card. I love blue and brown together and just happened to remember I had this dotted ribbon. I love ribbon and dotted ribbon oh so much more. I colored this image with watercolor pencils long before I knew how to use prisma color pencils and oms. So what do you think?

Catch up
Just a quick post. Last week Mitch auditioned for a few different musicals that will be performed at the Croswell Opera House Theater in Adrian, MI. The musicals are High School Musical 2, The Producers, Rent and City of Angels. City of Angels is the only one I don't know anything about. I don't think Mitch does either. Last week Tues he got a call back for HSM 2. He was to be there today at 6:30pm. So I picked up Tim from work and we headed up to Adrian. It's about a 45 minute drive. There is only a short time on the expressway. Most of it is county hwy or country roads. So there is a lot of slowing down to 30 or 35 mph while traveling through various small towns. Of course today it had to rain and snow shower on the way up. It only misted on the way back. We stopped and got some supper and then while Mitch was there for nearly two hours we browsed through Big Lots and Meijer. Then we went back and waited in the car, while reading. I thought he should've been done so went in and checked and they were still going strong. So back out to the car. I didn't want to read anymore since I was driving and didn't want to be sleepy. Here is the link for Croswell if you're interested in taking a peek. It's funny, though it is much nicer than the Modjeska it still smells the same when you enter the theater. I guess it's that historic theater smell :D. Here are some photos I took on the 21st.

Adrian is growing but I was surprised to find that the closest Michael's is the one I go to in Toledo!! There is a Big Lots right next to Hobby Lobby how funny is that? But of course HL is closed on Sundays.
Noah is spending time with a new girl. He stayed with a friend last night and then I drove him to this girl's house today. He watched 3 movies with her today. Friday night he hung out at the mall and went to the movies then too. I thought he was just with guy friends as that's what he told me and this girl was hanging out with her bff. Well when I get there to pick him up he's taking forever to come out to the car. When he finally does show up he's with two girls. Of course it's the girl and her bff.
I went to SIT's monthly crop yesterday and I really didn't get much done. I didn't pack as well as I thought so I only started one thing and worked on a card. We played games as it was SIT's 4th birthday. And of course it's a pot luck crop, so there is always yummy food!
Next week Stamptacular Sunday Challenge blog begins. I hope you check it out and try out the challenges.
I ordered for the first time from PeachyCheap. I will let you know what I think when I receive the stamps. There was an alphabet clear set on Friday I believe, couldn't pass up the great bargain!
Have a wonderful week!
